The griller arrived right on schedule. Unboxing revealed extremely well packaged parts which were assembled successfully and without fuss. It may take several weeks to dispose of the cardboard and foam mouldings via the weekly garbage collection.
The griller is beautifully designed and constructed. It is far too early after only four days to assess the functionality.
Initial impressions bode well, but more extensive directions and suggestions re fuel loads and attaining target temperatures would be good. This includes adjusting the four vents. Comparison with larger ceramic griller/ smokers, e.g. my Primo XL suggest that the PK is more flexible in respect of thermal flexibility; the aluminium body constitutes a much smaller heat sink than the larger and heavier ceramic griller.
My main difficulty so far is grilling steak with "Low and Slow", or at least "Slow", then reverse searing.It seems difficult to get the desired high temperature needed for the sear quickly enough. Perhaps the intake vents could be larger, at least on one side?
I am sure things will get easier when I get to know the device better. In the mean time, I am very happy I bought the PK 350.
